About ESPO:

ESPO, a trading department of Leicestershire County Council, operates as a non-profit entity jointly owned and managed by six local authorities. Its primary aim is to assist member authorities in achieving the best value for money in procuring goods and services. The member authorities include Cambridgeshire County Council, Leicestershire County Council, Lincolnshire County Council, Norfolk County Council, Peterborough City Council, and Warwickshire County Council.

ESPO has also established ESPO Trading Limited, a commercial entity catering to third-sector organisations, including national and local charities, public sector mutual organizations, and others engaged in providing services to or for the public sector.

In this instance, ESPO is undertaking a procurement process to identify and appoint several Service Providers to provide consultancy services for decarbonisation / net zero strategies and EGB Engineering is one of them.
